Bayern Munich exec says squad won't be "breaking up" after shocking Real Madrid defeat – Bavarian Football Works

Filed under:
Who will be in and who will be out for Bayern Munich next season?
After Bayern Munich’s 2-1 loss (4-3 on aggregate) to Real Madrid in the Champions League, there was extreme disappointment from just about everyone associated with the Bavarians.
However, for some folks, the time for lamenting the club’s trophyless season was brief was the focus had to almost immediately turn to next season. One of those people was executive Max Eberl, who spoke about the needs to get the “right coach” for the team and also that there might not be as much roster turnover as many are expecting.
“We have to find the right coach for Bayern and the players who will fit in with that,” Bayern’s new board member for sport Max Eberl, who took over in February, told Welt TV (as captured by ESPN). “There most certainly will be departures and arrivals this summer. We have had discussions with all players. Obviously, it is important for them to know who will be the new coach. But we have already thought of new players and also thought about who we want to extend contracts with.”
FInally, Eberl noted that the squad will not be “breaking up.”
No matter what happens, there will be change and Bayern Munich fans will undoubtedly be hoping that the decisions made work out as no one wants to see trophyless seasons become the standard.
